Leaning Chinese will never be boring. The simple flashcards are not only use for recognition of chinese character, but also can use in different way, such as
reviewing words learnt, making words & sentence, practice child's math skill (multiplication, addition, substration).

I am using "Zi Bao Bao" flashcard. Normally the lower primary students will be required to purchase.

1. I ask my child to lay the cards on the table in rows. She has to read the card when she display it.

2. once she has done, she needs to calculate how many cards in each row and how many rows. e.g. 7 cards in each row, there were 3 rows.
so she will use multiplication to calculate the total. 7x3=21cards

3. We start to play game. Each person can collect the cards whenever she/he can match two cards or more card to create words or sentence or idoms. Whoever has the more cards gathered wins the game. (addition, substraction will be needed in this case).

My girl loves to play this game with me. In the meantime, I also temporarily put down my serious/fierce face during study time, and enjoy my bonding time with her too.

The correct way to cook instant noodles without harming our bodies and health. Normally, how we cook the instant noodles is to put the noodles into a pot with water, throw in the powder and let it cook for around 3 minutes and then it's ready to eat.

This is the WRONG method of cooking the instant noodles.

By doing this, when we actually boil the ingredients in the powder, normally with MSG, it will change the molecular structures of the MSG causing it to be toxic.

The other thing that you may or may not realize is that, the noodles are coated with wax and it will take around 4 to 5 days for the body to excrete the wax after you have taken the noodles.

CORRECT METHOD:

1. Boil the noodles in a pot with water.

2. Once the noodles is cooked, take out the noodles, and throw away the water which contains wax.

3. Boil another pot of water till boiling and put the noodles into the hot boiling water and then shut the fire.

4. Only at this stage when the fire is off, and while the water is very hot, put the ingredient with the powder into the water, to make noodle soup.

Learning language is all about environment, usage, practice.
People will complaint that there is no one speaking chinese at home to cause the child's weakness in chinese. Rather than drill to learning chinese, why not using the normal media - VCD/DVD to learn chinese.

This is my favorite hair salon. It is unbelievable cheap! cheapest in Singapore. even cheaper than JB. $2.90 for hair cut by professional, not student trainee.

First of all, I have to declare that I have no relationship with this company. Just sharing lobang and my experience here.

I used to cut my child's hair myself, until one day I read news on the newspaper about this hair salon bedok reservoir branch that offer $2.90 haircut. Since it is so cheap, try it out loh. Save my time and energy to do the haircut myself. besides, use my child as a guinea pig to test out.

The second time, I wanted to try out other branch that near my place, so I tried out one of the branch at tampines. I was not quite satisfy with the result (not much changes in length and looked as if cut nothing). p.s. Different branch charges different price according to location, I think. Tampines charge $4.80.
so I just called bedok reservoir branch to book another appointment. It just happened that their boss was there. The boss immediately promised me that I can come to bedok reservoir for re-cut FREE.
I was surprised. It is not matter of $. They have service indeed.
