Thanks to Addy who started this thread, we have an alternative voice to teaching our children through flashcards!

Relax lah... no need to be so kiasu.  New Singaporean parents tend to think that planning for Primary One Registration years in advance is just plain uncool.  Some even believe that as long as they are staying near the school, there is no reason why they would not be able to place their children in that school.

World Book Fair is an annual event for book lovers. There are over 300,000 book titles on sale on every conceivable subject. Let your children be creatively occupied this June holiday!  The children will enjoy using their fingers to mould and paint their pottery masterpieces!

They will learn how to create and paint 3 ice-cream bowls, 2 Mice & a piece of Cheese.

The creative pottery masterpieces can be used for show-n-tell sessions and even for eating!  Cool!

So how do you celebrate the birthday of a two year old?

If you invite your friends and their kids and have a buffet, its for you, not for the kid.  I took the easy way out and spare myself the considerations of the venue and list of invitees.  I decide to just celebrate his birthday at his childcare center.  Even with that there are a bunch of things to consider.

The requirements for our childcare are to bring a cake enough for 50 children and enough baby gifts to distribute to his toddler class mates.
