Our Self Drive Trip to Redang
We went with two other cars on a convoy. Set out from Woodlands at 6.30 am on a Saturday. As agreed, we have selected the other experience driver to lead us the way. He used GPS and planned where to make the stop over for resting breaks.
For ease of communication while driving, all three cars were equipped with walkie talkie. So, if there is a need for unplanned break (toilet visit / nausea), we have a quick chat and alert the other drivers that we need to make a stop over.
Malacca 2D1N
Three friendly cars, we convoyed over three hours to reach Malacca.
The journey itself was fun and interesting.
Our lunch venue, Ole Nyonya.
Otar and chap-chye (vegetable) are standard Peranakan side dishes.
You must order some spicky belachan fish/squid/prawn too. Yummy !
We checked into Holiday Inn Melaka.
Our trip to Universal Studios Singapore
During this school holiday, we've bought our daughter to newly-opened Universal Studio Singapore. If the tourists want to go into the Universal Studio on the day itself, they will be disappointed as it is always FULL house. We booked our ticket one week in advance. Adult ticket is $66. Child above 3 years old is about $46. My hubby bought the express ticket, added in additional $20 per person. i.e. you could jump queue, people who brought express ticket would have privilege to go to express lane of each ride/activity.

Our Trip to Desaru
We took our cab from home to ferry terminal. Fortunately, driver knew the way. Got there at 9.45, no crowds so went straight through to ferry. Terminal has no f&b place and wait area. Ferry was quite comfortable, smooth voyage.
On Msia side, resort van was there to pick up us, another family of three and a single guy. Many people were checking out so we had to wait a couple of hours for our room. Had leisurely lunch at Teratai Coffee House.
Our experiences travelling with baby on a plane to Japan
We brought our DD to Japan when she was 13 months old. At the end of the trip, DH and I each lost about 2 kg For DH, it was the lugging of luggages from Osaka to Kyoto and then to Tokyo; while for me, it was the carrying of DD throughout (as she refused to be carried by DH ) and skipping of meals that did it. Don't get me wrong however, it was a good trip; lots of bonding time with DD and as she was getting too attached to our maid, we managed to reverse that somewhat by the time we returned
Taiwan holiday - child friendly free & easy tour
Our family had just came back from 4 days' Taipei vacation.
We brought out P2 daughter there and she enjoyed her trip.
I did the booking for the air tickets and hotel online.
The weather during March school holiday was around 15-25 degree.
so it is ideal temperature for traveling. Hooray! finally we got out of singapore humid weather!
We took the SQ flight (promotion rate: 664/person) and arrived at Taipei airport. We stayed at Sheraton hotel. As recommended by a Taiwan mum, we took a direct bus(大有巴士) from airport to hotel which cost NT225 (Adult:NT90, child:NT45) for a hour's drive. If you took a taxi, it would be a lot expensive (about NT1200).
Transportation:Just in front of the hotel, there is a mrt station called "善道寺站". There were day tickets which you can took as many rides as you can in a day that costs NT200.
