(Updated 7 Aug 2008) Here is the consolidated Primary One Registration balloting history of Singapore's Primary Schools, since 2006.  This data is useful to parents as an indicator of the difficulty of getting their children into their preferred schools.

Statutory Declaration

Children who are currently under full time care of foster parents may register for admission using the address of the foster parents provided:

• both parents are working full-time at the time the statutory declaration was made
• the foster parent is a grandparent of the child or a sibling of either of the parents and
• the foster parent is not employed.

For the purpose of registration, the foster parent and one of the child’s parent are required to make a statutory declaration at the MOE Customer Service Centre.

The statutory declaration can be made:

• from 8 am to 4 pm, Mondays to Fridays and
• from 8 am to 12 noon on Saturdays

starting Monday, 30 June 2008 to Tuesday, 12 August 2008.

They should bring along with them the originals of the following documents:

Phase 3

• For a child who is not a Singapore Citizen or a Permanent Resident.

Registration and Announcement of Result:

• Thursday 28th August 2008

Phase 2C Supplementary

• For a child who is unsuccessful in gaining a place in a school of choice at Phase 2C.

Registration:

• Tuesday 12th August 2008

Announcement of Result:

• By Tuesday 19th August 2008

Phase 2C

• For a child who is ineligible for or unsuccessful in earlier phases.

Registration:

• Tuesday 29th July 2008, Wednesday 30th July 2008 and Thursday 31st July 2008

Announcement of Result:

• By Thursday 7th August 2008

Phase 2B2

• For a child whose parent has joined the school as a parent volunteer not later than 1 July 2007 and has given at least 40 hours of voluntary service to the school by 30 June 2008; or whose parent is a member endorsed by the church/clan directly connected with the school; or whose parent is endorsed as an active community leader.

Registration:

• Thursday 17th July 2008 and Friday 18th July 2008

Announcement of Result:

• By Wednesday 23rd July 2008

Phase 2A2

• For a child whose parent or sibling has studied in the school of choice; or whose parent is a staff member of the school of choice.

Registration:

• Thursday 10th July 2008 and Friday 11th July 2008

Announcement of Result:

• By Tuesday 15th July 2008
