Hachiko - A tale about loyalty and unconditional love.

Hachi: A Dog's Tale

This is a simple but heart warming tale about Love and Loyalty. It is base on a true story behind a bronze statue of an Akita dog just outside of Shibuya Train Station in Tokyo, Japan.

The film starts with a young boy telling the story of a dog which belongs to his grandfather, a professor who commutes to work by train everyday. The dog will walk with him to the train station everyday and return to wait for him to return home everyday.

Children Won't Wait

Children Won't Wait

Children will not wait for parents’ schedules to improve while they build their careers or pursue their own interests. There is no waiting until a more convenient time. Training of children must be done while they are young and still trainable, because children just won’t wait.

Our parents' dreams ...

Something I received in my email that i feel is worth sharing.

Something that we do often take for granted.

This is about a man who tells how his booking an air ticket for his father, his first flight, brought emotions and made him realize that how much we all take for granted when it comes to our parents.

The 'two wolves' inside us all.

Haloo KSPs, a little story on values to share with all..

One evening an old Cherokee told his grandson about a battle that goes on inside people.
He said, 'My son, the battle is between 'two wolves' inside us all.

'One is Evil. It is anger, envy, jealousy, sorrow, regret, greed, arrogance, self-pity, guilt, resentment, inferiority, lies, false pride, superiority, and ego.'

The Magic Of Children

Magic with my children can come in the form of a simple conversation. Here's sharing one that happened just hours ago.

I had a lotta stuff running through my mind even before sleeping hours came that even a hawt night cannot help it.  I remember falling asleep but was jolted around 3:45am. Tossed and turned on the bed yet still unable to fall back to sleep till like 4:30am. I decided to go to the girls' room and see if i could get a sniff of them and get back to sleep. Since DD1 was recovering from high fever yesterday, i decided to give her more space to breathe so i tucked in beside DD2.

She whispered.

DD2 : Mum... is that you? (Night light was off)

Me : Yes sweetie, it's me. Sorry to wake you.

Heart of Gold

This is a true story of a family I know.

It was the start of a new journey in Primary One for Goldie like any other children.  Much excitement and anxiety was running through her tiny body as she went through each day of her new adventure in the Primary School.  Everything was pleasant although overwhelming until one day a reality hit her.

While changing into her PE attire, she removed her new wallet off and placed it gently on her desk.  Then she was distracted by a friend calling her and walked away for a while in a trusting fashion leaving her new wallet behind.  Minutes later, she let out a cry of dismay that her wallet was gone.

After some investigation by the teacher, they found the thief in the class.  Not only was the wallet retrieved, many other items belonging to other children were also found.  Astonishing?  Truly so.   It was a serious matter hence the parents of the child, Richie, was called to the school.

A Positive Birth Experience

This was a long awaited and much longed for baby.  After like 4 miscarriages, finally managed to sustain the pregnancy beyond 4 mths.

Only managed to breathe normally during gynae's appts after surpassing the 6 mth mark. Prior to that, always prayed and hoped for the best but expected the worst. Now, told myself that if really water bag leak again, there is a chance for the baby to survive.

Surviving Normal Stream

Too often on KSP forum, we read about students who do exceedingly well in school and get excellent results for all their exams, be it GEP streaming or PSLE. Most likely, we read with envy and wish our kids have the study smarts too!
