Vision

To help build a young generation of talented minds with a heart for the society.

Objectives

We seek to promote positive parenting in the service of raising happy, healthy children who are loved and who have a passion for learning.

Our staff are dedicated to nurturing and supporting families with young children. Unique gifts of all participants are identified, diversity is celebrated, and strengths and needs are utilized as springboards for understanding the ways in which individuals of all ages grow and develop.

We believe that parents are and should be respected as their children's first and best teachers. We therefore are committed to provide updated information and support to the parents so as to enable them to guide their kids to reach their full potential.

Philosophy

Our principles of care underpin love, understanding and support that our children need in the process of learning and growing.

At Heartyland , We Care With A Heart...A simple yet almost insurmountable educational objective. At Heartyland , we are striving to provide all our services with a genuine heart for the betterment of our students' future.

Although it is of great importance to develop the cognitive function of every child, it is equally if not more important to inculcate essential moral and social values in our children at an earliest stage of the growing process. Apart from being a successful individual, these values will help facilitate the spirit of sharing and the willingness to provide for the less fortunate, thus building a more gracious society that we can proudly call our own.

Facilities:

We are constantly upgrading our facilities so that with appropriate and updated physical support, coupled with a genuine heart from our teachers, we are capable of reaching our aim in providing the best quality care and education for our students.

Only recently, we have purchased new computers to run an IT-based programme for our students. More resources will be in place in phases of the centre's progression.

Facilities will also be introduced for infants and toddlers to reach their important developmental milestones.

Staff:

We strive to recruit qualified and keen teachers who are committed to provide the best care for our students.  Most importantly they must have a heart for our children.

The Infant Curriculum is designed for infants aged two to eighteen months old. It is derived from the daily life of the infant based on our daily observation through play and their activities, together with the input from parents.

  • Learning throughout the day
    • A core curriculum repeats monthly. It is expanded as a dynamic, responsive experience rather than a rigid learning structure. Opportunities for child development are built around daily activities, such as feeding, bathing, and cuddling time. Routines are made into valuable time for bonding with and enjoyment for both baby and care-givers. Activities in the curriculum are designed to capitalize on how a baby's daily routines can serve as the basis of learning throughout the day.
  • Setting the stage for a lifetime
    • As touch is one of the most highly developed senses in infants, Infant Massage has been included serving as an excellent vehicle for helping adults and babies connect with each other in a powerful way, setting the stage for a lifetime of sensitive and responsive communication.
  • Embraces the concept of emergent literacy
    • Another distinct component of the Curriculum embraces the concept of emergent literacy. Our belief that "a scribble a day brings a writer your way," builds on the basis of the current research on emergent literacy which suggests that the development of literacy is a process that takes place within the child from the beginning of life and emphasizes the interrelatedness of language, including speaking, listening, reading, writing and viewing. Our programme is designed to help adults create an environment, which encourages the natural learning ability of children to unfold. Coloring pages, stickers, and die cuts related to the animal theme are intended to extend play and engage infants in prewriting activities.
  • Music is everyday life
    • The essential role of music for learning is embedded in everyday interaction. Adult/child interactions are important to the unfolding of an infant's development, through universal baby games- include social interactions which involve bouncing, lifting, clapping, gentle tickles, body part play, peek-a-boo and tell me a story games.
