The Montessori method
The Rosy Hearts Babies’ environment and curriculum integrate the Montessori Method. It comprises the following curriculum areas:
- Practical life
- Sensorial
- Language
- Mathematics
- Cultural
We maintain a conducive homely environment for sensorimotor exploration, spontaneous creativity and total development. Spontaneous repeated activity is encouraged to build confidence as new skills are attained and refined.
Infant stimulation
During the first year, your one year old baby's brain will have reached 70% of its adult weight. 70-85% of all the previously set down brain cells will be completely developed. 45% of your baby's brain growth takes place during his or her first year! We refer to this crucial time from conception to 1 year old of age as the period of the "brain growth spurt".
Infant stimulation is a form of play that challenges your baby's mind and satisfies his/her newly discovered preferences early than we ever thought possible. We present your baby with experiences that foster learning and growth, not by force-feeding knowledge but rather through an interactive loving relationship that pleases your baby.
We believe:
- Your child's environment has the strongest impact on his brain during the growth spurt period"
- Interaction is more valuable than observation
- Curiosity: stimulation begets stimulation
- Baby's attentiveness is vital
- Baby learns through repetition
- Baby's position makes a difference in stimulation
- Baby needs to experience warmth and love
- Being sensitive to baby's cues is important
The musical experience
At Rosy Hearts Babies, we believe in early integration of music into a child’s life. We use only the highest quality material and equipment to ensure the best musically enriching experience for our children
Montessori Music
This is an excellent music programme unique to Rosy Hearts Babies. It was developed in the early 20th century through the collaboration between Dr Maria Montessori and Anna Maria Maccheroni and builds upon the basic Montessori principles.
Montessori Music provides sensorial exploration with bells - beautiful musical instruments in their own right. The programme enables children to increase the acuity of their auditory perception and lays a strong foundation for musical development in later years.
Kindermusik
Kindermusik is a name with more than 25 years experience in early childhood development. It is among the world’s most respected names in early musical learning. Children will have the opportunity to explore a wide range of instruments, move with exciting rhythms and sing along with beautiful tunes.
Mandarin Muse
This programme provides concurrent double immersion in music and mandarin. As music is so close to every child’s heart, it is an easy, fun and effective key to unlocking Mandarin language development. The Mandarin Muse employs songs, rhymes, story-telling and movement to create a lively and enjoyable environment for children to learn Mandarin.
