Children's Birthday Cakes

The birthday cake is always the center of attraction in a birthday party. This cake sits in a place of honor, with beautiful candles glowing on top it, as we sing the “Happy Birthday” song. After the birthday song and all the oooh-and-aaah are over, it’s time to cut and taste how delicious the cake is.

Besides the taste, we also need to consider the shape, color, size and design of the birthday cake. If the birthday cake has a theme or cartoon characters, the children will definitely love it. It is better to decorate the birthday cake using the favorite color of the birthday boy or girl.

For the girls, we can choose something like Cinderella castle cake, Dora the Explorer, Winnie the Pooh, Barbie, Barney, Care Bears etc. For the boys, we can pick Bob the Builder, Thomas the Train, Cars, SpongeBob, Nemo and even sports theme.

Chocolate Fudge Cake

This is the 4th year i'm ordering my son's birthday from the them.They are a small shop located at Bedok North.They don't have much design as they prefer customers to give them the design that the customers want.I have friends requesting me to pack some of the cake for them to bring home.

Their Crunchie Chocolate Fudge is delicious n very rich in chocolate.I recommended for all chocolate lovers.They don't do cream cake only chocolate fudge & cheese.

A brand new bake shop has opened, Swirls Bake Shop - www.swirls.com.sg so far seriously the best cupcakes i have tried around - just walked past it in robertson quay on CNY and tried it out, and after that ended up putting through an order for my kids school, was totally a hit! Apparently they do very large cupcakes (feeds 10 people) and layer cakes as well...

There's a new bakery/confectionery shop in Bukit Gombak. Blk 374 beside Alif Restaurant/24h Mcdonald.

They sell reasonably priced cakes, bread, pies, tarts, puffs, etc.

Its called Indulge Patisserie.

I would like to order a Winnie the Pooh cake for a 1 years old birthday party. As most of my guests do not have sweet tooth, any recommendation? I believe most cakes, especially those multi tier ones, with beautiful figurines are made with sugar and that would probably be very sweet :-)

A possible alternative, since you don't mind 2d, is to find a transformer image from the Internet that your child like, modify it to add some wordings or even your child's photo, then use it for a Photo Cake. Quite a number of cake shops do photo cake these days.

Bee's Cake

I recently ordered a Bee's chocolate cake for my son's 6th birthday. Oh boy, all the kids in his childcare loved the cake & some even asked for 2nd & 3rd serving of the cake, but it was not enough for all. I normally order a 2kg cake & in the end it was always alot of leftovers.So, this time ordered only 1.5kg but all were snapped up instantly after the candle blowing.The presentation of the cake was better than what I imagined it to be.
