Singapore's Top Primary Schools

Share

The Ministry of Education only provides ranking for secondary schools.  While it is felt that the same arguments for ranking secondary schools can be applied for primary schools, there are many more primary schools compared to secondary schools, and it would be counter-productive if parents choose to forego the convenience of neighbourhood schools and drive up demand for the official "good" schools.

Nonetheless, Kiasuparents.com feels that parents should be allowed to make informed choices based on facts.  The dearth of reliable information on how "good" primary schools are is troubling and non-transparent.  As such we have collated a list of best performing primary schools based on published annual PSLE results since 2000.  This list is by no means an official "ranking" of primary schools - it is only an indicator of the consistency of schools in academic excellence.

While the quality of a school is not solely dependent on academic excellence, it is a very good indicator of the dedication of its staff and the quality of its students.  Kiasuparents.com will continuously strive to update and tag its primary school database with details of the character-building, athletic and aesthetic accomplishments of each primary school to allow parents to pin-point the most suitable school for their pre-school children.  We welcome feedback on what parents actually think about the schools.

The following pages comprise records of how Primary schools generally fared in PSLE over the past 7 years.  Readers should treat this as an indicator of academic consistency, and not as a definitive ranking of how "good" the school is.

KCPPS or RVPS

Hi,

I need to register my gal for P1 next year and I'm residing at Bishan estate. The nearest primary school is KCPPS but I'm not sure whether this is a good school. I heard that they're shifting to a temporary school in AMK, but not sure when. Anyone know and can share with me?

My hubby is an old boy of RVPS, so I'm also putting RVPs into consideration. One of the concern is the distance.

I am still deciding whether to register him with KCPPS or RVPS.

Can anyone pls share your opinions?

if i am you, i will go straight for Princess E.

cos Pei Hwa does not have affiliation and convenience-wise, Princess E is within Bukit Batok. unless you are attracted by Pei Hwa's SAP sch culture.

St Anthony's vacancies is very limited; unless you are risk-taker, Princess E is the safest bet.

Or unless you can get into St Anthony via church affiliations in Phase 2B....

P1 registration

Hi

I'm staying in Bukit Batok and the nearest school is St Anthony (within 1 km).  Would like to enrol my boy in this school due to proximity so that he doesn't have to travel far to school.   However, this school is always on balloting even for those staying within 1 km.

I'm an old girl of Princess Elizabeth and a church goer at Glory Presbysterian Church, affiliated to Pei Hwa Primary School.  Heard the standard of Pei Hwa is rather high.  My son only love to play and when it comes to study, he will say he is tired.  I'm worried if my son can take the stress in Pei Hwa if I selected this school!

Can anyone advise should I go for Princess Elizabeth (2A2) or Pei Hwa (2B) or even St Anthony (2C) as St Anthony is just a walking distance away from home?   My priority would St Anthony or Pei Hwa but afraid if I can't get a place.

Thanks.
