Tiong Bahru Park

Conveniently located right beside Tiong Bahru Plaza, this park is centrally located, with a large enough area to roam about. There are lots of things to see, with a variety of plants and flowers and a pond with aquatic plants, fishes and tortoise. We saw a family of tortoise sun bathing one late morning to the excitement of my little one.
Complete with a large playground with a tilting train, merry go round among other fun stuff. It is one of the few remaining playgrounds that still uses sand and you will see many children bring their tools for building and digging.

The 3.9-hectare park is centrally located and well equipped a few relaxing hours.

The pond had plenty of aquatic plants and although the water is muddy, you can spot a few kois and tortoise in it.

The playground has an interesting tilting train which is lots of fun!

Lots of ladders and slides are built around and within the train.

Inside the train. Be careful! This is meant for kids 5 year old and above. Younger kids will need close supervision.

Excellent!
Wow, this playground is just in my old neighbourhood and didn't know about it! Already in existence since 2008? Looks really interesting. Will definitely check it out!
Tiong Bahru Park
Hey looks like a very interesting place to bring my 3-kids 13yr, 11yr & 8yr old to explore this school holiday.
Been to Downtown East previously, but it seems that's a place with all the different rides.
We missed the Wet theme park, as we didn't prepare our swimming costumes & it was about to rain.
Thanks.

Just been there last Sunday!
Halo,
Was there with my gal n hubby last sunday. There is a car park right in front of the park. But there is no free parking for sunday.
A nice place but as per mentioned, if your kids are still young, do take extra care when they are in the "train".
The playground is more suitable for older kids.
Nice recommendation. Will go there again!

THose who have been there... where is a good parking place?? easy to find parking??
I will try with my gal
Thanx for the photos and description. Though I always drive pass and think the playground look interesting, I never try to have a closer look @ it.
Thanx again! Will explore this playground one of the weekend!

A cabin is about the size
A cabin is about the size of a HDB store room... so should be no problem for most adults. I was not hanging on to him though, just following closely in case he got into trouble. And thanks to the handy camera phone now adays, I manage to wip the phone out and take the pix with one hand. Won't recommend a bulky camera in that environment.
The train looks interesting...
... but is it big enough and can it really hold the weight of adults who need to hang on to screaming frenzied 3yo kids with one hand and document the episode with a camera with the other?
