Weather too hot to eat 猫山王 or even 红虾...because it is very addictive.

Still have the packaging to show a pic?

I have bad experience with buying nectarines.

Could be that particular crop that the nectarines come in. Out of the 3x I bought nectarines this year, so far, the Feb (ard cny period) and current purchase were the juiciest. The late Feb batch didn't taste as juicy

Thank you.

Durians taste the best during the hottest weather. Most flavorful.

Just like watermelon.

I was surprised to see some "expensive" Japanese fruits at NTUC this week. Bought some Dekopon and SunFuji apples to try. Dekopon costs $11.xx for 2 and SunFuji was $9.xx for 2 (??).

Dekopon (デコポン) is a seedless and sweet variety of mandarin orange. It is a hybrid between Kiyomi and ponkan (Nakano no.3), developed in Japan in 1972.

The skin's easy to peel, and the flesh's almost jelly-like and melts in my mouth. Membranes around the segments are gossamer thin, so be gentle with the Dekopon!

I made another 'successful' purchase at CS last week: Black Diamond Plums (can't remember if they were from Australia or somewhere else). They were remarkably crunchy and sweet. Not sour at all, unlike some other varieties of plums I bought from NTUC before. Flesh looks something like this (web photo).

I'm going back to look for another punnet later.

Strawberry is dd2's favourite. She could finished 1 punnet. Last night we shared 2 punnets bought from NTUC.. Dd1 prefers it to go with honey. Bought the strawberries fm CS, SS and NTUC these 2 weeks. Somehow feel that it is sweeter from CS. Even the big brown color skin pear when all states premium with Korean words(maybe from different location?) still the one we bought from CS the nicest..

Strawberries cannot keep long? Have to eat within 1-2 days?
