Well...I didn't hear the spam about him. JJC is rather stable in their performance for the past few years under his leadership- though isn't the top but isn't bad in performance.
He is 55 years old....can expect a generation gap between him and the students.
The registration at RV was uneventful. Just went to register, buy uniforms, buy books, rent lockers and then went back. There was no briefing by the principal or staff. There is a big walk for all RVians on 2 Jan 10 and the Sec 1 new students are invited to participate, though not much details were shared 2day.

I have chit chatted with some RV's students and they told me that for performing arts, there will be auditions. I am sure there will be an orientation camp where all the CCAs will show case individually and the students will then have a chance to find out more.

Did the same as dad_of_the_bride, we went to register, buy uniforms, buy textbooks (without any exercise books) and did not rent the locker.
I really do not know if new sec 1 need to participate the big walk or just report to new campusl on 2nd-Jan @ 9am ? anyone knew on this, pls share and many thanks.
The new school 1 students are not required to participate in the big walk, but they (including the parents ) are invited to do so if they want to. The walk will start at 9 am on 2 Jan (Sat) from the Singapore Science Centre and the students (including the Sec 1) will be given a t-shirt as souvenier if they participate.
My daughter and I will probably turn out for the walk, since we regularly go for long walks.
