aviation experts did say it must hv happened very quickly. now a passenger who flew from Beijing to KL on Sunday morning took some shocking images of what seem to look like debris from 10,000 ft height. http://www.scmp.com/news/china/article/ ... ch-missing

is it just me who feel that the nations involved are like pushing the search/rescue job around? Doesn't sound very coordinated...U hear Viet navy saying it's not in their waters at first and China saying it never entered its airspace and Nanning isn't Nanming. KL's side said it'd left its airspace and handed over to Viet's control. MH's side said it code-shared flight with CZ (china southern) and those 2 passengers with fake passports bought tickets from CZ not MH. But that means KLIA never check identities properly...

I'm wondering if it landed in a Viet jungle?

You remember the air crash of MI 185 on 19 December 1997 routing Jakarta – Singapore.

Was there any satisfactory closure?

I dont think there is a complete closure for MI185, at least, there is no definite conclusion to the cause of that tragedy.

A closure means "found" and moved on to the next stage...

Yep, the investigations could not come up with any definitive conclusions on what happened in MI185.

Here's a National Geographic documentary on it

The signs do not point to anything positive. Let's hope that more clues will turn up as to what happened and that facts are promptly released. There's an information void now and Malaysian Airlines need to prevent speculation and conspiracy theories from filling this void.

I quite like this article:
http://www.straitstimes.com/breaking-ne ... -real-prob
"One of the great ironies of the information age is learning to deal with information scarcity amid the white noise of information overload."
We may have a lot of info (from mass media) but lacking the right info (to make a decision/conclusion).
