Hi Matthew, Unfortunately

Hi Matthew,

Unfortunately the preference only stands if you were from the same Pri school. So I guess you must be from St Michael's Pri to hv priority.

Doesn't work if your were from SJI Sec :(

from an old boy of sji junior

Hi im an old boy of sji junior, now studying in sji. i am in sec 1 as i graduated last year. I can tell you the 10-year programme is both interesting and beneficial. Facilities are good and there is many things for comfort of students eg air conditioned hall, many computer labs, a large field and many amenities for students

i am thinking of making a drastic decision. Please tell if its worth the effort. I am desperate to have my son enter SJI junior. Though it does not rank high in academic excellence i really wonder why they have just too many applicants every year. I am catholic and deciding to relocate from tampines to stay withing 1 km  to SJI junior.  However, i have to take a large housing loan. Or should i just relocate close by to Catholic high and choose that school. I just want a place for my son to be in a catholic school with good standings and confirm a place. pls advice

sji junior

My son is in SJI Junior as I want him to receive an education in a Catholic school.  I have friends with sons in Catholic High.  In making your decision, you may wish to take into account the fact that at the moment it is easier to get into Catholic High (secondary) than SJI (sec) as the cut-off point is lower for CH although it is a good school too.

Think carefully

If you have a finite sum of money and time to spend, would you rather spend it on getting your child to a "good" school, or spend it on preparing or supporting your child for his Primary school education regardless of whichever school he might be in?

How's SJI junior?

Anyone with comments on this school, esp with their 10yr integrated programme with SJI?

SJI Junior

SJI is a very popular school with very a strong bias for sports.  Academically, it under-performs compared to the top tier schools in terms of producing top students with PSLE T-scores >=275.  Like a number of other missionary schools, it is strong in English, but weak in Chinese.
