[DiscoverTech] LEGO Robotics

Have for some fun with LEGO! Build a racecar track and racecar with touch sensors, then end off with a short race to the finish line!
This programme/event is open to members of the National Library Board, Singapore. Please ensure you have your myLibrary username on hand before proceeding with the registration. If you do not have a myLibrary username, you can create one here: https://account.nlb.gov.sg/.
In this hands-on activity, children will pick up problem-solving and computational thinking skills through fun and interactive play with LEGO. Children will learn more about:
- LEGO building basics
- Simple code sequences
- How touch sensors work
Participants will work together in groups to build a racecar and a racecar track, then complete a short race to determine the fastest car!
This programme is suitable for parents and children from 4 to 6 years old. Children must be accompanied by their parents for this programme.
Participants are required to do the following before coming for the programme
- bring along a fully charged tablet such as an IPad, Samsung Galaxy Tab
- download WeDo2.0 Lego from Lego Education
- have access to the internet by either using hotspots or Wireless@SG
Please note the followings:
- All participants, including adults, to register for a ticket. Each ticket admits 1 person only.
- Parents to register separate tickets for themselves and their children.
- Children must be accompanied by an adult during the programme.
- 1 adult can accompany up to 2 children.
- Arrive 10 mins before the session commences.
- Seats of late attendees will be given to waitlist.
- NLB reserves the right to deny entry to participants who do not abide by the ground rules.
