Hear from our panelists

Elvin and Esther Foong are Family Life Educators and founders of The Treasure Box Singapore, a company that aims to resource, train and inspire parents to better understand their children, so as to build stronger relationships with them. They regularly conduct talks and workshops for schools, companies and other community organisations. Together with other like-minded parents, they also co-founded SGFamilies, a ground-up movement for parents by parents that work together to raise wholesome generations. Elvin and Esther have been happily married for 16 years and are proud parents to two children who will also be sharing their thoughts at the KSP Family Huddle. 

Peter Tan was a principal for 24 years in his 40-year career in the education service. He has led Anglo-Chinese School (Junior), Anglo-Chinese School (Barker Road) and Queensway Secondary School. Many students who have passed through his hands have grown to be parents and educators, inspired by his wisdom and varied experiences in career and life. Peter and his wife are married with two children and two grandchildren. 

Webinar Moderator

Carol Loi is a certified digital wellness educator and a Fellow of the Center for Media Literacy. She is also a certified mental wellness coach and a Maxwell Leadership certified youth and family coach, as well as behavioural analysis consultant. She is a co-founder of SGFamilies, a ground-up movement for parents by parents to raise wholesome generations together. She has served in the Singapore public service for over two decades, including the Economic Development Board, Ministry of Education and Info-communications Media Development Authority. She holds a Master of Business Administration from the Nanyang Technological University, specialising in technology and human capital management. Carol and her husband are raising two young adults.

  - Sharing by Elvin & Esther Foong on their considerations for selection of primary schools, and what to look out for as a parent as well as former educator.
  - Sharing by Peter Tan on tips to support a child through the transition to P1.
