Singapore Odyssea: A Journey Through Time

Singapore Odyssea: A Journey Through Time is an immersive, multi-sensory permanent experience at the National Museum of Singapore that takes visitors on a time-travelling voyage through roughly 700 years of Singapore’s history. It’s housed in the iconic Shaw Foundation Glass Rotunda and blends history, art, light, sound, and interactive technology to bring key moments from the nation’s past to life, from imagined futures back to pre-colonial beginnings. Visitors are given an RFID wristband that activates a personalised “magical companion” inspired by native wildlife to guide them through animated visuals, soundscapes, and mythic encounters — all while highlighting Singapore’s maritime heritage and themes like sustainability and environmental change.
