Raffles Mathematical Olympiad (RMO) by Raffles Institution

NMOS : June / July 2024

NMOS is a nationwide Math Olympiad designed to identify top young mathematicians who can represent Singapore on the international stage. It also serves as a valuable addition to the student’s DSA portfolio for application to NUS High.

While the level of difficulty is pitched at primary 5 and above, the NMOS presents challenging mathematical problems that assess participants’ problem-solving skills and mathematical reasoning ability.

Singapore and Asian Schools Math Olympiad (SASMO)

SASMO : 31 March 2024

SASMO is one of the largest Math Olympiad in Asia, with over 20,000 participants from over 20 countries annually.

It is recommended for beginners who are looking for an entry-level Math Olympiad to gain experience with competition math. The questions are designed to allow students to apply previously learned concepts to challenging non-routine questions, rather than testing for knowledge beyond the syllabus.
