Day 1 of Phase 2B in the 2024 P1 Registration is just over.  21 schools are already oversubscribed, and 1 school, Pasir Ris Primary, is just fully subscribed.  It is likely to be oversubscribed tomorrow, but based on last year’s data, the oversubscription should be mild.

Holy Innocents’ Primary is currently the most oversubscribed school at 270%.  Chongfu Primary is close by at 229% oversubscription.

Looking at the chart below, I would say that the schools are mostly similar to last year’s uptake, with only some differences so far.

Those at the highest risk of oversubscription are:
Red Swastika Primary (17 out of 20 vacancies)
Bukit Panjang Primary (18 out of 20 vacancies)
South View Primary (19 out of 20 vacancies)
ACS Primary (28 out of 29 vacancies)
Pasir Ris Primary (20 out of 20 vacancies)
St Hilda’s Primary (18 out of 20 vacancies)

Amongst the surprises so far is Kong Hwa school, which has only 10 out of 36 places filled.  Given that the school had 57 applicants in 2023, this seems like a pretty small take-up rate so far.  Hopefully, the school can escape balloting in Phase 2B this time round.
