Hello blurbee, anymore

Hello blurbee, anymore interesting places to recommend for this June holidays?

Thank you for sharing

When I was young, my mummy often brought me to the shopping mall to watch those cartoon characters. I love the tweety at Suntec city and also Barney and Dora.

Mall Shows & Meet 'n' Greet Sessions' Experience

I brought my girls for Strawberry Shortcake Meet & Greet which included a short tea-session. Children need to produce coupon redeemed at the Information Counter from a $30.00 spending minimum for redemption. *in a single receipt.

The children were treated to songs, games, colouring session plus free KFC Chicky Meal. The mascots were huge though and DD1 was taken aback a little in the beginning but she got over it when she heard them sing familiar songs she watched from their shows/CDs.

The Winx Club one must spend at least $50 in a single receipt on their merchandise. The only thing the girls got were to watch the show and also photo taking with the group of sexy ladies.

For meet & greet, a good camera is ideal to take along always cos you only have 1-3 seconds (cos got long queue of people with that privilege) to just point and shoot. Once i didn’t bring my camera and stumbled upon a show plus meet & greet and since it was a spontaneous decision to join the queue (since i have spent the minimum)… i had to use my handphone camera whose pixel was too lame to take from that distance the security officer told me to stand at.

So, remember to bring your best if you intend to put the experience in lasting memory for your children.

Power Rangers was basically only prancing around the stage following their theme song… re-enacting scenes from their shows for the children using voice overs. Photo taking for the few lucky dudes and that was that.

As for Bob the Builder, we were disappointed when we couldn’t see any of the machines after travelling all the way from CCK to Marina Square. We even had front row seating space! All there was were the main characters Bob & Wendy… not even a Pilchard. No phototaking cos it was just a stage show.

So, before you travel the distance you can have the option to find out the nature of these mall sessions in case the children and yourself as well get disappointed. Some of us… or mebbe just me… have different perspective of what is expected. Some children get disappointed that they cannot go up the stage and cannot even get a handshake from their favourite characters as the shows are arranged in a manner determined by the organisers.

Just sharing my experience.

Thank you for sharing BlurBee.

DD loves Barney and Dora.

When we bring her, we will know if she fears mascots like her momma fear clowns
