Feel like you are juggling between work and your family’s wellbeing? Tired of getting back to a messy home? Yes, you need a helping hand.
“After the previous horrifying experience employing a helper, we had managed to take care of our first child while juggling with work and family life. However, with the introduction of our second child, we can no longer do without another pair of extra hands. We went shopping again, for a helper. This time, recommended by my colleague, we went into Homekeeper at Bukit Timah Shopping Centre. We were greeted by your friendly staff, Ms Linda. We told her of our requirements and she told us about APS scheme. We had interviewed several helpers face to face and Susanti, who is our current helper, managed to carry my daughter during the interview. My daughter did not reject her. This was a good sign that she will get along with my daughter. The processing was a breeze and Susanti started work in less than a week. She has been with us for 6 months now and has been interacting well with our kids. We are glad that we are being served by Homekeeper and we will be happy to refer our friends and relatives. We know they will be in good hands.” – Mr Tan, 34, self-employed.
“After my mum’s fall early this year, we needed a caregiver to assist her daily. We have searched and called maid agencies and understood that the helpers will only arrive after a few months. During that time, we were unable to wait as we needed the help urgently. We went to Homekeeper as they are in the Eldercarer FDW Scheme where they provide pre-trained helper who can be deployed within a week. We visited their office and interview the candidates face to face. We selected Anita as she understood my mum’s condition and related it to her previous experience where she used to take care of a lady who has the similar medical condition. The staff also explained the fees and all the necessary arrangements in detail. It has been 9 months since Anita started and we are satisfied with how she is taking care of my mum.” – Mdm Yap, 40, Finance Manager.
What does the scheme offer?
Employment Agencies under the scheme are allowed to source for and bring in FDWs before they have found an employer. The FDWs can be interviewed face-to-face by employers and be accessed personally to ensure a better match for their family. Once selected, EAs are able to process for quick deployment within 5 working days.
Who should I approach?
Homekeeper, with more than 20 years’ experience, offers both Advanced Placement Scheme (APS) and Eldercarer FDW Scheme (EFS). It has successfully deployed hundreds of FDWs with high success rate since the inception of APS in September 2016.
Homekeeper provides all FDW related services and the placement of Indonesian, Filipino, Myanmar and Indian FDWs.
As a participant of the APS, Homekeeper provides face-to-face interview, better matches and quick processing, ensuring the arrival of your helping hand in 5 working days.
You are eligible for the scheme if you are an elderly person, or if you are hiring a helper to care for your child or elderly living at the same registered address as you.
With the existence of EFS, Homekeeper also provides eldercare-trained helper who has knowledge in:
Process of aging
Monitoring of vital signs
Assisting your loved one with their day-to-day activities
Helping your loved ones with simple exercise, fall prevention, medication and tend to minor wounds
Communicating with your loved ones when delivering care
Under the EFS, 3 days of comprehensive training will be done before they arrive your home. On-job-training will also be done at the convenience of your home to ensure the competency of your helper.
