Review: Maclaren Quest Lightweight Stroller

I bought a Maclaren Quest stroller from a recent spree. It arrived within 3 days after I made the payment. So, we collected it last weekend. It comes with a free Maclaren Universal Organizer and a front bar. The organizer holds two cups and the front bar allows us to hang toys on the stroller.

I still love our first Combi stroller. It is so lightweight (only 4.5kg), very compact and folds-up easily. Wonderful for mall shopping and traveling. The only complaint that I have is the small storage basket and the lack of cup holder. As my 21-month old boy grows older, we realized that it is getting too small for him. Especially when he wants to nap, he has to squeeze like sardines as there is not much space for him to move around.

The Maclaren Quest stroller is durable enough to last through his toddler years. The frame of the stroller is made of sturdy and lightweight aluminium. Weighing only 6kg, it is a breeze to take it along while traveling. Both the front and rear wheels lock and unlock easily. It folds down compactly to the size of a regular folded umbrella stroller.

I love the seat. It is spacious and has an extendable leg rest. The seat padding is reinforced so that my little boy won’t sag down in it. Just like Combi stroller, its seat cover is removable and washable. The seat also has a four-position recline so he can sleep in it comfortably.

Another additional item in the stroller is the removable canopy that offers sun protection and has a UV protective window. The basket is large enough to hold a small diaper bag. Not forgetting the custom-fitted rain cover which goes from the canopy down to cover his feet during the rainy days.

All in all, Maclaren Quest’s features and ease of use make it well worth its price. I should have bought it sooner!

May I know where you get the stroller too?

Hi hi, May I know the contact too? Was thinking of getting the quest too.

I want to get a Maclaren Quest too

Hi hi, may I know which store you bought it from and how much did you pay for it? Did you have to pay extra for the organiser and the front bar?

Need to get one too and am thinking if it’s cheaper to get online or buy from baby kingdom at Kaki Bukit. Hope you canadvise me, tks

I am using a Quest too

For my then 2 yo and she is still using it now, at 3 yo. Seat is comfy and basket is big enough. Its easy to fold and open. Its lightweight and compact when folded, hence easy to bring along anywhere. The only feature I am hoping to have is full recline, which I know, only come in the Techno model, but Techno is alittle too bulky for me to handle. Overall, I still think tat its a great stroller.

Oh yes, helper can be a great help…(if know how to manage them). For me, no helper, so everything got to DIY.

Hi smum,

In fact, it’s easier to carry your younger son than your elder son… haha! Sometimes, the elder is just too lazy to walk, so he wants to sit in the pram instead…

Hi sunflower,

Full canopy is good when the kids are napping, you r right! But it can be very warm too..  My boy used to perspire a lot when I pull down the canopy.. I seldom take bus with a stroller, it’s too troublesome.. Even if I need to, I’ll have my helper to carry it.. haha!

Stroller looks quite

Stroller looks quite useful. The only thing is that I wld prefer a full canopy instead (like combi), so can completely block out sunlight if child’s sleeping. Also, find that 6kg can also be quite heavy to carry up bus and at the same time, carry baby/toddler and bag(s).

When my boys are younger,

When my boys are younger, we used to bring the stroller out. But my elder son (4 year old at that time) would want to sit in the stroller. So in the end, we have to carry my younger son (baby) while the elder one enjoy the ride. Sometimes wonder the stroller is for who… haa haa.
