Science for Life is a highly interactive show which presents visitors with scenarios from the world around us where they can use scientific investigation.
From the chemistry of confectionary to the physics of popcorn, find out how many different disciplines of science can be found in all aspects of everyday life!
This show is part of Kids Science Fest!
About the performers:
Elisa McGowan has been a member of Scitech’s travelling Outreach team since 2006. At university she majored in Human Biology and developed a passion for science communication and education. At Scitech, Elisa develops and coordinates the Aboriginal Education Program which takes hands-on science activities throughout Western Australia, including to some of the most remote schools in the world.
Kimiko Holder has worked at Scitech for three years as a Science Communicator, Puppeteer, Functions Coordinator and Duty Manager. She studied Science Communication at the Australian National University in Canberra and worked in a number of Science Communication roles before moving to Perth in 2006. She is passionate about communicating science to the general public and making science interesting and relevant to everyone.
