Whimsical Arts Wonderland is part of People’s Association PassionArts Festival 2019.
Enter the Magic Garden, where a model of the beloved Dragon playground of Toa Payoh lights up the open field.
Then, look out for Boat Ki, a large installation of a Chinese junk – and a nod to the flurry of trade that used to take place in Boat Quay. Built and painted by volunteers and the artist, Boat Ki is a tactile experience encouraging children to explore while grandparents can take a trip down memory lane and share tales from the past.
Finally, check out Pieces of Home, a giant jigsaw puzzle depicting a collage of playful cats painted by the residents of Toa Payoh West-Balestier.
Highlights include Mass art jamming, Malay traditional costume workshop and various craft workshops.
