Re: Do you have a best friend?

I wish my hubby is my best friend too... i really envy those couples who always joke and poke at each other... we are more like just family (like you don't and can't really poke jokes at your parents right?) Anyway i'm glad I have a mummy frens who were my ex schoolmates in my younger days, and we a...

Re: Are you ok for your child to go to his friend's place for homework/projects?

Nebbermind> main concern of the hub is the kids may play online games / surf inappropriate content / up to something 'secretive' while cooped up with friend's place. When they visited their classmate's place previously, I noticed their doors are always locked when I reached and I have to knock to te...

Are you ok for your child to go to his friend's place for homework/projects?

My kids are p5 girl and p6 boy who sometimes ask if they can go to a nearby friend's place for homework, project etc. I have so far permitted them to visit a Classmate A's place during the holidays for playdates (i knew the mum pretty well and she's the only one at home with them during the playdate...

Re: Is hubby overcalculative over kids education?

MrsKiasu: me too, I think one parent kancheong is enough... Too bad I'm the soft one... but i believe in not pushing and naturally let them enjoy what they are learning... The way we revise work with them is also quite different... Hubby likes to sit them down formally and go over assessment books, ...

Re: Is hubby overcalculative over kids education?

Zeemimi: thank you for sharing, will check out the drama :) Zac'smum: yes I think hubby is stressed partly because during childhood he's compared to his sibling who's academically and professionally more successful.. Whereas even though hubby also went to uni, it seems it's with his mum's help who a...

Re: Is hubby overcalculative over kids education?

ChiefKiasu & Zappy: I can totally understand your concern, in my kid's case it's a normal fever (no other symptoms), so the issue here is I can't get use to the fact that if I give him panadol (at least to let him feel better and get thru with his exam that morning) will actually pull down his grade...

Is hubby overcalculative over kids education?

Basically I'm a stayhome mum, and i think the less kiasu kind.. actually i don't have very high demands of my kids' results or studies, as long as its in the B range, and he's happy and healthy everyday, I'm satisfied. So when it comes to his studies, I'm not the kind who'd push with assessments, th...

Re: Compassvale Primary

Hi parents, do you feel that it's very hard to communicate with the teachers? I'm the parent of a p1 students here. My friend whose kid in another school in Punggol, the teacher has a blog to update what the kids are doing in class (with lots of photos), they have a group chat in WHATSAPP etc... if ...
