Re: Mom call police and MOE : Teacher force son for a haircu

I believe some teachers only follow the book. They should see if the boys are defiant to rules or other reasons. The incident left my elder boy a bad impression of the otherwise popular school such that he pledged not to send his future children there. The younger boy who is a diligent student was ...

Re: 2013 PSLE Discussions and Strategy

I will be attending open house with him this year for his schools of choice this year. He has in mind (not in order) ACSI, NUS High and SST. But will also have him attend a few more schools to widen his perspective. Wah! Something for me to talk to my ds about! How do we know the school will have o...

Re: Mom call police and MOE : Teacher force son for a haircu

Instead of being teased by his peers and being the joke of the year... he apparently was lauded for being bold. Teacher was investigated & called upon for closed door mediation with him. Words were exchanged and things did improve. Guess different schools will do things differently and yes of cours...

Re: Mom call police and MOE : Teacher force son for a haircu

Hello EN!!! you dropping by? Hope not dropping hair like the teacher/me. Trying to come back again. Dropping hair? Yes! Mine, different case. I was being spelled by the evil ... Anyway, I don't agree with the teacher's action. My ds has very thick wavy hair. Typically need to cut every weekly. But ...

Re: 2013 PSLE Discussions and Strategy

Surely your ds will have to bring back science test papers done in school for revision like CA and SA? Unfortunately he didn't. I even went over to his locker in school, there's nothing. I have no idea where he left his papers. This year has to be a bit diligent to follow through everyday & check h...

Re: 2013 PSLE and Preparations

Hi VSK (short-form, easier to remember). Thanks for the tips. DS school has very good science programme. The sch has been featured in tv for this before (if ds conveyed the information to me correctly). My method to approach science will be the same as yours too. To do past papers along with the sch...

Science When you say going through concept taught for pr5, what type of science book you're referring to? Do you do your reading in advan...

Re: Sensitive Topics to Talk to Your Teen

Excellent sharing! I am facing with a growing up daughter. I am not sure how to bring up sensitive subjects. Sharing information and discussing issues through shared media is a relax way of bringing up very highly sensitive topics. The video is really good too. Thanks for sharing!
