Re: Bread shop / Bakery

There's a bakery at Toa Payoh that sells the most amazing chiffon cakes.. Can't remember the name, but it's situated at the hub! Do take into consideration that confectionaries and bakeries typically use sub-standard ingredients and only processed white bread as it tastes better, but ain't so good f...

Re: Depressed - Husband driving Taxi

Yep, I have heard of many families pulling through even with the sole breadwinner as a taxi driver. It can be done. Why not suggest for him to split his shifts? He can drive night shifts for maybe 3 days where the fares are doubled. Especially on weekends, there is a constant (and I mean constant) d...

Re: This Mother's Day

This Mother's Day, let us not indulge ourselves in thinking about what we deserve as parents who have made so much sacrifices for our children. Let us instead reflect on what our own mothers have done for us. The things we loved about our mothers. The things we hated about our mothers, because we w...

Re: Timetable for kids??? When is it most appropriate??..

From K1, my nephew has had a time table. We take it as practice for Primary school. Basically, just plot out everything including meal times and reading times!

Re: Which Country Suitable For Young Children?

Thailand is affordable, fun, and has tons of yummy food! Lots of cheap shopping too.. I'm sure kids will enjoy buying toys and looking at all the live animals at the chaktuchak market.

Re: Crazy for bags!

I'm a compulsive shoe-and-bag shopper too! Qoo10 has lots of cheap, pretty bags! (although the quality leaves much to be desired..) but at the price, who can complain?

Branded bag addiction is a whole other story, though. That particular addiction is giving my wallet grief. Haha.

Re: Is it good to introduce comics to a preschooler?

I don't think there is any harm in introducing comic books to your child. Comic book giants like Marvel and DC introduce kids to multiple universes of fantasy.. Their universes are really too vast to be fully explored, and I believe this encourages imagination. I also like the recurring theme where ...

Re: ME TIME!

At home to spend more time with my family, hamsters & KSP Forum. Wow, your hamsters 真的有福气! Do you train them to do tricks? They are beyond "hope". All they do is eat, drink, pee, poo, sleep & run the wheel. When I talk to them, they show me a face begging for more sunflower seeds. After today, I wi...
