Re: COP 2019

Sorry to ask, cedar branding not as good as MGS, SCGS, SNG , why is that so? Cedar branding is as good as the rest. The others take in their affiliate primary girls and has much less vacancies available for non-affiliate girls. So based on locations, non-affiliate high scorers in central/west will ...

Re: DSA 2019

Hi all, may I confirm that once you have received the option form indicating that child has been successfully placed through DSA into a school and to report on 23 Dec for registration, no further actions - that is no need to submit any option during the S1 posting exercise right? So just keep that ...

Re: 2019 PSLE Discussions and Strategies (Children born in 2007)

Hi Bluemom, can shed some light which area do you reside? Your 6 choices are all over Singapore. Is distance or travelling a concern for your DD? My tscore 250 + 2 1st - Rv SAP ( cop 252) - Jurong West/Boon Lay 2nd - scgs 'o' level ( cop 252) - Central 3rd - cedar 'o' level ( cop 250) - Potong Pasir...

Cutoff point... Can only know after posting results are out and i think one may need to call up the school to check what min T-score is allowed for appeal cases.

Re: 2019 PSLE Discussions and Strategies (Children born in 2007)

Initially my girl wanted to put scgs IP as 1st choice but historically scgs ip has not gone lower than 252. My girl tscore only 250 as her hmt +2 point cannot be used for scgs. Very limited choices for 250 score [/quote] My opinion only, decision is up to you and your DD :) --> Better try than neve...

Re: 2019 PSLE Discussions and Strategies (Children born in 2007)

Actually I misread the original post somehow, I thot if tscore+hmt (eg 250+1) = tscore w/o hmt (251), are they ranked exactly same when applying for sap sch? A lot say 251 is better than 250+1, but non conclusive on MOE guidelines I think decimals counts but we’ll never know decimals, so just let M...

Re: 2019 PSLE Discussions and Strategies (Children born in 2007)

Hi parents, my DD is also taking PSLE this year. Just for anyone who is interested on the Math's pattern questions, or thinks the "MO" pattern questions should not be included, you can refer to the solution I just posted and give some thoughts. And yup, my DD also couldn't see the pattern that I see...

Re: GEP 2016 - Screening & Selection

Hi Divergent, you mentioned that your two kids have very different experiences in GEP. Please correct me if I am wrong. I suppose not both are negative experience otherwise you probably wouldn't put your 2nd kid through same program again? If so, maybe you can provide more details how each experienc...
