Re: DSA 2020

"Which other school did u apply for DSA?" was one of the questions posted by SNGS interviewer. Did prepare DD on this one  Based on previous info shared, I don't think the school will know which other DSA the student had applied. Coordination amongst schools this year, not sure, though so fa...

Any idea if rejection emails will be sent?
Yes emails or letter will be sent .
But some schools don't send them out until the end of the process so you may not receive them until end August.

Re: DSA 2020

According to a P6 boy that my son and I meet occasionally to shoot basketball, he is going for PHS interview next week. His teacher will be holding up a mobile phone and show the interviewers the activities they will ask him to perform, like drilling, shooting and layups, at the basketball court. T...

Re: School of Science and Technology

Thanks for listing it out. So in SST it is compulsory to take 3 pure (non-combined) sciences + only 1 (combined) humanities. It’s something I will take into consideration. Having only 1 humanities score to fall back on is dangerous. That is an important consideration but what is more important is w...

Just curious if the secondary schools also will wait / poll for prelim results to assess DS, since more of the COs will only be made known by mid sep 2020?
I doubt they will leave it that late. My son's prelims don't finish until August 26th.

Re: School of Science and Technology

I agree that prestige doesn't make sense but there are still parents who see that taking triple science plus A maths at O level is somehow better. Believe me, I've met some of them :-) And the reality is that many schools still require higher overall grades at the end of Sec 2 in order to qualify f...
