Re: Application for NUS/NTU Medicine 2020/2021

Having students reserved for the following year eats into the quota of 150 for NTU Medicine. So those who want to try a 2nd time and for new applicants would be in a very tight spot. it has always been like that, not just for medicine but for all other courses as well. just that only med (and some ...

Re: Scholarships - University

Oh ok thx MMM for sharing. I am just wondering whether ultimately is it back to the old days where results are supremacy in securing scholarships. I heard about PSC moving in the more holistic direction but not sure if universities/GLCs have moved on or not. Nus and Ntu are still largely about resu...

Re: Networking Group - Nanyang JC

What is the obsession with taking 4H2s? I'm also curious if what winsomelosesomee says about nyjc offering 4H2 regardless of results is fact or not, and about "NY has enough resources to cater to this, not worried overall results affected or not." and a host of other claims I can understand ...

Re: Crescent Girls' School

Thank you for your inputs. I understand that girls taking Sports CCA will have to eventually opt out of 3rd Lang malay. This is another thing which we were not aware of. they don't "have to" eventually opt out, but some realise in the weeks to come that it is actually quite boring / draggy, esp if ...

Re: Crescent Girls' School

Hello Parents - I seek some guidance and help. My daughter who is in Sec 1 has been given Hockey as CCA. While it was my daughter's last choice. We were not aware that CCA will be held in Jurong which is way too far from where we live and secondly the schedule is very intense, for Feb it is almost ...

Re: Re:

It is very clearly stated in the JAE admission booklet that the admission criteria are net L1R5, citizenship, gross L1R5. If still tied, it says that there will be a computerized ballot with EQUAL CHANCE given to candidates. No where does it mention that the order in which the JC was selected matte...

Re: Networking Group - JCs General

@jtoh, very sad and disappointed. Schools are not encouraged students to take 4H2 at jc level. I knew the SG edcaution system quite well as one of my kid took 4H2 and 1 H3 and GP and PW. SG JC there are no flexiable for the students. And just easy job for the JCs as there is no change between Jc1 t...

Did QZW get into Med by DA or regular admissions? (I thought regular....as he met the grade for being shortlisted)
IB score of 43 gets a go for regular Med admission.
Example of train very hard still can do well. And IB is not easier, not for ACSI, SJI.
