Re: Raffles Institution [*IP]

Congratulations to the class of 2018 RI(JC). Looking at the humanities results, Econs distinction is 6 in 10, Geography distinction is 7 in 10. Does it mean it is easier to get distinction for Geography? DS is keen to do physics, chemistry and math when he progresses to Year 5. He has no preference...

Re: Comparing English Enrichment Programmes

My friend recently asked me about Academia too. Are you able to provide more info on their lessons are like? Previously my son went to a tuition centre nearby called Ace Clinic Education, so my friend wanted more info to compare. Any info would be helpful!

Re: How to spend the p6 year end holidays

Plan a short trip (doesnt have to be overseas) for the family! I know my kids for sure want a break from the books. I don't bug them to read or study, but i do encourage them to take up an activity which they enjoy. Its good to have a balance, and we parents need a break too

Re: fr p4 to p5 .. results dropped

Sorry, find it hard to believe that inside the Top 2 classes, in your school ... 70 percent failed English paper 2 Is there any data on the failure? Like which components did the students do poorly in that led to the 70% fail? Because if there are certain sections that all/most did badly in, then i...

Re: 2019 PSLE Discussions and Strategies (Children born in 2

Same situation here, i remembered that the school has the final say in deciding when it comes to P6. But if marks are close, can appeal. Also sharing a tip on how i encourage my children to read previously - find out what they like to read, then find it for them (because they won't). Slowly they wil...

Re: Guide: All About A Levels

Hello Micharl, Are you looking to send your child there? I know they run holiday programs so you might want to enquire directly for that. As for past experience, what my daughter said is that the tutor is very engaging so she really enjoyed the lessons. She also mentioned that the notes given are mo...

Re: Guide: All About A Levels

Just borrowing this thread to share something interesting I saw online. For those who are preparing for their A levels which are just around the corner, there's this centre offering Live Stream classes to coach and teach Economics for free. I thought its super interesting and something rarely seen i...
