Re: Networking Group - JCs General

It's not about parents choosing per se - if there is no inclination, no conviction, no interest from the child for the path, things may not turn out as planned. IB and Poly are extremely different. If the child absolutely dislikes writing short and extended essays, or dislikes philosophy and finds ...

Re: Networking Group - JCs General

Comparing IB students from ACSI / SJI against the entire A Level cohort is hardly apple to apple. Yes, most ACSI / SJI IB students will likely make it to local universities, but you could probably say the same for A Level IP students from RI / HCI / VS / DHS etc. Not all international schools are t...

Re: Networking Group - JCs General

Take IB is the best. I have not known of anyone whose kids who took IB (ACSI/SJI and international schools) cannot make it into local Uni. Whereas for SG A levels, quite a handful I know, couldn’t make it to local universities. So far, all of them opted for poly instead of retaking SG A levels. A le...

Re: Networking Group - JCs General

Mp, UK A is 1 year only? You go find out more about Concord College. It is very popular with many Singaporeans kids taking UK-A level there. Re: ME TIME!

I am more worried about the reunion dinner as all feast together. So each dish must hv its serving spoon. Cannot really work. I remember in the previous year, I put a serving soon on every dish but I soon caught my BIL dipping his chopsticks into the pencai. After that I really sian half and we can...

Re: ME TIME!

Assuming you bought NTUC 100% Coconut water - it's 3.7g sugar per 100ml (serving size is usually 200-250ml). That falls within the Grade B for drinks which is <5g per 100ml. For comparison, Coke is about 10.6g per 100ml, Marigold 100% apple juice is 11.2g per 100 ml, and Pokka Jasmine tea is 4.6g p...

Re: Living in Singapore

Some property analysts predict HDB resale prices to rise up to 10% this year.

In 2022, resale prices increased by around 10.3% and the previous year in 2021, it went up by 12.7%. Affordability will become a real issue as salaries also don’t increase by 10% per annum lah.
