Re: DSA 2020

Same here, easily 3 days gone. I ask my kids to utilise school consultation utility during spare time in school instead of engaging tuitions. Exactly what mine did. Said don't need tuition bc can always approach teachers for consultations. Hi (peasants & phankao), do your kid's school do "1 to 1" p...

Hi deardear07 ,

There are quite a few ministers from HCI. They showed up during last year HCI's 100 anniversary
Knowing the history of Sg, 1st and 2nd generation ministers unlikely to be from HCI. But many 4G ministers/state ministers from HCI - Ng Chee Meng and Grace Fu are some examples.

Re: DSA 2020

Is a direct CO without having to go through interview. I just checked and realised this school also use MOE portal, thus school haven't receive their application IF they applied. I believe that is not their intend school and they wouldn't have applied. reason why CO given the kid won some competiti...

Re: DSA 2020

You can put "no preference"? yes, put "no reference" if your child is invited for interview, towards the end of the interview, your child can ask interviewer, is he being considered for O-level or for IP track ? if interviewer answer, "for IP track", is your son comfortable studying IP track ? If Y...

Re: DSA 2020

Agree with phtthp ... however, also to note. Better to complete the higher grades sooner by sec 1 or 2 semester 1 so that the chances of getting selected are higher. My child happens to be in a sch that offers O level music, not MEP.. n almost all of the applicants are upper grades or even dip too....

Re: RI or HCI

Thanks swc for sharing your DD's experience. :) Very helpful! Did she join NYGH via DSA Eng? They have a special program for English/Humanities for year 1-2 too? Is she strong in her chinese? And is she enjoying the school so far? Sorry for the many qns! I think NYGH is similar in culture to HCI. A...

Re: RI or HCI

Hello, I am in a dilemma. DS and I all along were aiming for RI since we visited the open house last year, and intends to DSA via Eng domain this year. However, lately, we found out there is an English programme at HCI for DSA Eng students, which looked very interesting. Plus I have been hearing a ...

Re: DSA 2020

NJC’s live sessions today were so meh, and the Q&A panel also didn’t answer the questions to the point at all. Is there any NJC parent here who can tell us how their child is coping in the school? Heard many people in forum say NJC is holistic but their project work seems to be more abstract & theo...
