Re: ME TIME!

With a good bicycle (light and fast) 8km is no problem. Any uphill slopes are easily conquered with good gears. I find cycling less tiring than walking to be honest. I sweat less due to the constant wind blowing in my face. But I sweat so much more after stopping! I don't mind cycling for leisure (...

Re: Corona Virus Disease (COVID-19) Updates

Had my 1st dose of Moderna vaccine at Kolam Ayer CC today. Before you register, the staff said “We offer Moderna vaccine”. Quite a crowd on a weekday afternoon but the procedure was quite smooth. From registration to vaccination, it took less than 20 minutes 👍👍. No freebies, just a small bottle of ...

Re: Corona Virus Disease (COVID-19) Updates

Possibility is there. Strange that he had his 2nd doze before discovery of infection. They did 2 tests and both came in positive. So, does it mean that he being young, sustained the infection without feeling much of covid effect & still continue working & nobody the wiser? MOE continue to do contac...

Re: Menstruation

Recently I bought a new wok, a cast iron wok and when reading abt the cast iron wok, it seems it contributes iron into our food cooked in it. But the wok requires maintenance else you see rust and also very heavy. I got another non stick wok again for esp breakfast time coz just feel abit too heavy...

Re: Supermarkets in talks to charge for plastic bags

We use plastic bags to bag our rubbish and our rubbish are going to incinerator. So instead of biodegradable, maybe the bags should be incinerator friendly? Like it should produce less toxic fumes, etc. And we read digital newspapers now. I guess we only can use bread bags, etc for our daily rubbis...

Re: Supermarkets in talks to charge for plastic bags

Ya, I also find Sheng Siong & Giant plastic bags tend to tear holes easily. For my new house, I bought from Taobao those ultra 牛 trash bags (you can see their videos how strong they are) - can vouch they are truly very strong plastic (though it feels thin). No holes, contains dirty liquids well. I’...

Re: Supermarkets in talks to charge for plastic bags

Surely the supermarkets can provide biodegradable bags that can be used for trash as well, instead of charging us for plastic bags, charge us for biodegradable bags that is environmentally friendly! In Singapore, biodegradable bags are no help to the environment as all our household waste is incine...

Re: Corona Virus Disease (COVID-19) Updates

For my office, it is quite similar ie strongly encourage to take the jab. It seems that being fully vaccinated would become an essential proof to move around with lesser restrictions. so far no different in safe distancing measures at my company although sizeable percentage has been vaccinated. bei...
