Re: Crescent Girls' School

Hi I am taking PSLE this year and don't know which school is better - River Valley High or Crescent Girls' School. Pros of CGS- Heard that the students there are well-behaved and teachers are strict but dedicated. They have been doing quite well in their O-levels for the past few years. I also pref...

Re: IP vs O level

Actually, up till now, from my nieces, nephews, and my own kid, I see no big problem with each IP school doing their own thing. Eventually, they will be taught the same concepts because concepts dont change. It’s not like IP suddenly gets Netwon’s 7th Law, which doesnt exist. Except maybe they learn...

but IP also has their own assessment and exams.
F=ma, whether is OP or IP...so why need to refer to O level assessment books?
Refer? No.

What I wanted to say is, this means that you can use O level assessment books to test your understanding of concepts and content, even if you are in IP.

Re: IP vs O level

Hi, Can I find out from experienced parents here how your kids studied for Y3/Y4 IP Sciences? In Y1 and Y2, you can still find Integrated assessment books. But come to Y3/Y4, can’t find such books anymore. Is doing TYS even sufficient? I find that the downside of IP is we don’t know what is exactly...

Re: IP vs O level

That is what I thought so too. As in, whether you are OP or IP, you will end up taking GCE A level which should be the same ultimately. But OP syllabus are much more straight forward and we can find a lot of materials in the bookstore. But not for IP today. A lot of comparison is only talking about...

Re: All About Primary Schools' Balloting History

Actually if I may add, since I will be shifting house and can go anywhere, what will you do? 1) Thomson/AMK area - SNGS 2) Dunearn area - SCGPS 3) Bukit Timah - NYPS (I was from NYGH. This was my ideal but I have since given up hope.) 4) East Coast - Tao Nan (we work at airport). We did not join Hu...

Re: O-Level Chemistry

https://www.pmc.sg/ This one right? Their fees seem really expensive. I can afford it, but I'm not sure if their classes are worth the money tbh. Edit: Eh? Physics Maths Cafe got two websites?! I'm abit confused. :scared: As for uptas, hmm. I'll take some time to think about it. I think when it was...

Re: 2020 PSLE Discussions and Strategies(for those born in 2008)

Schools are focusing on pulling up the Cs and below, since these will impact their KPIs more. I don’t think schools are that concern about the KPIs. It’s about offering resources, a limited commodity, to those most in need. I think it is not nice to say that “schools focus on Cs and below as these ...
