Re: Recommendation of one pot for all

Indeed it takes 20 minutes to boil water using kettle on the stove. I agree with your husband using the electric thermal flask which can keep water warm throughout the day consumes a lot of electricity. I used to have one when I gave birth to my first son many years ago. I was shocked when I receiv...

Re: ME TIME!

That’s good. I insisted that my children to be expected to give both of us monthly allowance but DH said no need lah. It is not about money but by giving parents monthly allowances is a form of showing filial piety. My mum doesn’t accept bank transfer. She wants me to personally send the monthly al...

Re: Recommendation of one pot for all

Both. Big kettle and boil on stove type. Now come to think of it, maybe I should change to an electric kettle! Years ago, I wanted to change to an electric airport but my DH said no cos it consumes a lot of electricity to keep water warm throughout the day. That's silly. You can always turn ...

Re: Recommendation of one pot for all

Hmm... I used to drink only boiled water. Now I'll just pass water from the tap into one of those containers with a filter and the water will then drip into the jug. Then I dump the whole thing into the fridge to cool it down. It's fast and efficient. Been doing that for 6 years now... wonder if tha...

Re: mooncakes

Generally I think anyone having diabetes should refrain from eating mooncakes or any sweet desserts even if they have stated as low-sugar. In fact many of the mooncakes are now made as low-sugar. Still, it is not worth taking the risks. Is there no-sugar mooncake?? :scratchhead: Also, those with hi...

Re: Learning Dialect

This whole episode is like 有名无实,虚有其表. I don’t know of any younger generation parents who speak dialect to their toddlers today. Make me wonder whether those parents who complain to ICA, are they just simply worried that P1 registration under phase 2B will be removed for them? Flip flopping on a sim...

Re: PSLE Actual Papers

There is a difference between: 1. Understanding a subject very well, versus 2. Doing very well in tests for the subject. To truly understand a subject, you must know it well enough to teach it to some other people. To master the tests for a subject, you must try out the past year papers for the subj...

I know right.
Some years ago, I spent close to thousand seeing a skin specialist. 4 different creams to apply over a span of 1 month. Then there is wet body wrap for arms and legs. Antibiotics and prednisone. Really magical but all hell break loose after medication completed.
What happened?!
