Re: ME TIME!

What is a reasonable % of salary for our children to save when they started working but still living with us? I think it will be different when they are married and have their own house.

Re: ME TIME!

We ask for 10% of DS’s salary. When he was doing part-time job and NS, we started asking already so he can get used to it. We don’t need the money. It is just to instil some sense of responsibility in him. Now he is in uni we are back to giving him pocket money.

Re: ME TIME!

We subscribe to Grabfood so we only pay $7.99 monthly. We can offset $4 from delivery cost for each delivery provided we order at least $15. For 3 people, we easily order more than $15 each time. But for 1 person, it is not worth it. Since we order frequently, it worths the $7.99 subscription.

Re: ME TIME!

I am busy at work and I have no interest in cooking so we order tingkat during weekdays and Grabfood or eat out during weekends. I prefer to use my spare time to do more work or rest or do activities with family (they also are not interested in cooking so cooking is out). I actually lost weight afte...

Re: Where will you travel for holiday now?

We were always doing F&E but now I don't have time to arrange our trips as I am working full time. Any tour agency is good for packaged tour to Southern Europe?

Re: Korean Drama

I will usually wait for the whole series to be complete before I start watching. I lose interest if I have to wait a week for each epi. I tend to binge watch a whole series in a day or 2 usually skipping a lot of parts, especially like flashbacks/mood scenes, etc. I also prefer the US Good Doctor b...

If stay on AFTER ORD until uni start, are the NS boys getting the same pay as BEFORE ORD , or different ?
DS’s OCS friends were offered $2500/month to stay on until uni starts. Not bad. How much does McDonalds pay those boys waiting for uni? I doubt $2500/mth.

Re: Corona Virus Disease (COVID-19) Updates

It seems not many vaccination centres are offering Moderna jabs. LNW and ngl May I ask if you have taken Pfizer for your 2nd booster? My first 2 doses were Pfizer. Then I took Moderna for both boosters because I read Moderna will give more protection. Anyway, so far so good. I have not contracted c...

Re: Corona Virus Disease (COVID-19) Updates

DH and I took our 2nd booster last week. He didn’t have any side effects other than sore arm. I had a slight fever and body ache which I didn’t experience in the previous 3 shots. But it was a mild fever that went away after I took panadol 2 times. No big deal.
