Re: Is tuition absolutely needed from Sec 1?

I've never believed it is needed. To pressurize someone at such a young age is stifling. A little guidance is ok but if its real tuition at least wait until they are doing exams. Then what if the child is failing or below average? To be unable to keep up, isn't that a form of pressure to the child?...

Re: Club Only Child Club

Actually, may I know what is wrong with having just one child? I do not know why parents of only one child get picked on constantly. I just had one person ( whom I hardly know ) come up to me recently and said ' You just have one daughter? Gosh she must be spoilt!' Why such a perception and the need...

Re: All About Gymnastics

Hi, Am glad to have found this.... My gal is in sec1 this year. Suddenly, she has a keen interest in gym. I am very sad because I feel that it will be hard for her to catch up....if she even can at all. Feel sad because she only registered this interest very recently .......I wish I had sent her for...

Re: Lower concentration of Atropine eye drops can slow myopi

Hi,

My daughter uses the 1% eyedrops but its only once a week.

Even then, she finds it very uncomfortable.

She is sec1 this year and her degree is already 525/575...

Frankly, feel like giving up....maybe let it run its course and then send her for lasik later on.

Re: NO tuition success stories to share?

I have to disagree with you based on my experience. Seriously, the teaching is touch and go. Its even worse in secondary school where the teacher can cover the whole chapter in one lesson and then chuck a whole stack of worksheets on the students. For my daughter, she mentioned that even when she do...

Re: NO tuition success stories to share?

There is no need to compare who goes for tuition or who doesn't. As parents, we know what our kids need best. If the child is weak and struggling, and the parent cannot teach and yet managed to find a good tutor who can help the child grasp well, what is wrong with sending for tuition? Our school sy...
