Hi Somebody, I am also trying to figure out how they perform the streaming. Since as you mentioned only the best students goes to classes F,G,H and I. What about those who are good in sports but not among the best students? Does it means they will not not have the opportunity to join the sports clas...

bee8250 I started my 5 year old on Kumon a few weeks back; thus far coping well. Everyday she will complete several sheets of 'homework' by herself (that will take her about 5 mins max). For me; it's about discipline; it's important that the kids knows he or she must complete her work before she pla...

LuvKid, I guess it will be better when you kid is in the morning session. You won't want him to waste time wondering around after he he completes his homework right? Kiasu_pig; My kid has been exposed to Letterland since she is in N2. She learns the phonics sound via songs ... like 'annie apple she says a' etc. Zoophnoics is similar 'aligator a a a'. I guess different methods work for different kids. This method didn't quite work for mine. We introduce her phoni...

foreverj, Yes; it's true what you have mentioned. I only realised this problem when I stop her when she is happily reading aloud and ask her to explain to me what the paragraph meant. Now I made a effort to read 1 or 2 chapters (min) each week with her (when she completes all her school homework ). ...

For one; you save on transportation. Every year it's increasing by $5 !!! In addition; if your kid has CCA; they can just walk back to the student care; it's within the school so I guess it's safer.

I totally agree; now that my second child is in K1 I have to split my 1 hour between 9 to 10pm between 2 kids. It's really no joke. Sometimes my older one will get really impatient while waiting for me to explain to the younger one before I can coach her. After a long day at work it can be very stre...

My older kid had problems reading even when she is in K1. I started her on phonics program and she is able to read comfortably after a few months. It helps her in her spelling too; most of the time she she breeze through her spelling because she is able to 'blend' and then to spell out the words jus...
