Thanks for assuring that it is going to be a fun and worthwhile trip! 😊 Hi Chujoe, Yes it is compulsory and the girls have...

Re: Comparing English Enrichment Programmes

Hihi, I am not sure if this is the right link. My daughter in now in Sec 1, taking Language Arts. I am not sure if it is too early to enrol her in Tuition classes. I do not seem to be able to find much centres for Language Arts and after some search and shortlisting, I am only left with Learning Lab...

Re: Singapore Chinese Girls School (Secondary)

 I will try this :thankyou: No reason why the school won’t allow it. The line at the shoulders is quite imperceptible if u know how to fold, sew and iron it. I used to do that for my own St Nicks pinafore. Hi, I brought the dresses to a tailor to make the arm pit holes smaller. But due to the...

Re: Singapore Chinese Girls School (Secondary)

Hi, I brought the dresses to a tailor to make the arm pit holes smaller. But due to the pocket, there was a limit to how much the alternation can be.. the tailor says too much alternation will cause the uniform to out of shape. I have not thought about holding and sewing the cloth at the shoulders. ...

Re: Singapore Chinese Girls School (Secondary)

 :thankyou: I will do that. Hi, According to the school rules online: The length of the full school uniform and the skirt must not be more than 7cm above the back of the knee. My DD is short, so we don't have the problem of uniform being too short. If the belt is too loose, that can be easily...

Re: Singapore Chinese Girls School (Secondary)

Hi, I have purchased SCGS uniform for my daughter on 23 Dec and I noticed that if we get the dress size with just the right size for the armpit holes, the length would be too short. I would like to find out how do we go about solving it since school is starting next week? I actually got the bigger s...

Re: 2019 PSLE Discussions and Strategies (Children born in 2007)

As a first-time parent of a child taking PSLE this year, I truly admire these 12 year old kids. Regardless of what the 3 digit number is on the result slip, they have completed their first national exams. They are still our children and they definitely deserve our unconditional love. I am extremely ...
