Re: Wushu, Taekwondo, Aikido and Karate

Will a kid who's been taking TKD lessons be confused (in terms of technique) if he starts on wushu? My kids have been taking both for many years. There are indeed steps which are similar but yet difference. At times they do mixed them up but overall they still know the differences. To me, the main ...

Re: DSA 2020

NYGH have 4 SBGE classes out of total of 12 classes, but these 4 classes also consist of MS children. And don't think it is based on a certain cutoff point in PSLE, as there are some in these classes who are not far off from the COP. In RGS, there is no SBGE classes, all are mixed classes. Actually...

Re: 2020 PSLE Discussions and Strategies(for those born in 2008)

For practicing past year PSLE papers for both HCL and CL, how far back should we go? Is it useless to do papers as far back as 2013 for both papers 1 and 2? I understand for my kids' school, for science papers, they are still doing papers as far back as 2012.

Re: All About Math Olympiad Training & Questions

RIPMWC 2020 is cancelled. What is the implication to Primary 6 students applying for DSA? It means you only left with SMOPS 2020, as well as your past result in RIPMWC 2019 and NMOS 2019. As backup, my advise is to join some 'private' competitions, such as SASMO, Kangaroo or AMC. This is to demonst...

Re: Tao Nan

Besides the BICEP class, how many classes are there in P4 - 6, excluding the GEP classes? Are the remaining classes sorted by abilities? With the change in MOE's directives to reduce focus on academic, will the current lower Pri students also have the BICEP class by the time they reach P4? There is...

Thanks Darwinkoh.
So bicep class will be 1 class on its own? How big is the class?
Yup. The 25 students will remain as classmates for the next 3 years. The only change is their Chinese lessons. Every years, they will be split into different groups to be rotated with different group from the GEPs.

Re: Tao Nan

Thanks Darwinkoh. That's very helpful. May I understand on the academic result part.. what is the min requirement? Overall > 85% (band 1)? Both EL and CL in Band 1? Only the overall academic for the 1st cut. The strength in languages (esp. Chinese) will come into play during the interview and writt...
