Re: Appeal Secondary One Posting

This obsession of parents wanting their kids to get into top schools, be it primary or secondary is a perennial problem. It beats me why parents have this mindset that as long as you are in the best school made available in the country, you are on the right track and your future is well charted. He...

Re: Edusave Scholarship Award

Received both scholarship and eagles awards for my children too. Letters dated 26 Nov but only reached my mailbox on 2 Dec. Happy that both my boys will be able to attend the award ceremony together come Jan. :congrats: to all mummies and daddies here whose children receive awards this year! :rahrah:

Re: NUS High School Of Mathematics And Science [*IP]

Thanks Ray142 and Artume for your input.

There is no doubt that NUS high is the best school for high ability students in Science and Math. It is also a very specialised school. I will discuss with my son about his options.

Re: 2014 PSLE COP to 2015 Secondary 1

Son's score is 257 + 2 (HMT). Think that RI would be a risky option. Which other boy's schools could I consider. TIA.

Re: 2014 PSLE Discussions and Strategy

Yes, my DS obtained 257, confirm no EESIS offered. My older son was offered EESIS 2 years ago and it was reflected in the letter by MOE which came with the result slip.

Wonder what's this year cut-off point. 258?
