Re: Raffles Institution [*IP]

The Orientation Guide states the sch hours on Mon & Wed 7.25am to 3.30pm. But didn't mention why until 3.30. Anyone knows what the boys will be doing from after lunch to 3.30pm? Looks like Fri will be a happy day for the boys....dismiss at 12.30! but not very good - they'll be tempted to waste time...

Re: Raffles Institution [*IP]

I know camp activities are organised by different groups of seniors each year. What roughly what do t...

Re: Raffles Institution [*IP]

From the orientation guide, seems that 2012 has no 1A and 1B classes. Classes start from 1C, skipping N, O & S, ending at 1T. 15 classes. There will be 2 sports class this year. 1A and 1B. So there are 17 classes in total? 1A and B no need to do CCA profiling, that's why they are not listed. Yes. Y...

Re: All About Direct School Admission (DSA)

One parent told me that if kids are sport-DSAed into RI, they will be put under sports class and given easier stuff to study and in Sec 4, they still need to take O level. Can any parent confirm this? TIA Not true. In year 1, they will put only those that are weak in the PSLE result in sports class...

Re: Raffles Institution [*IP]

Please read the interesting article on The Importance of Rest in the May 2011 Eagle Eye. http://www.ri.edu.sg/bookshelf/Eagle_Eye_Issue_4_for_web.swf It shows that if the boys are very active in their CCAs and other school activities, they hardly will get any rest. In the long term, it might cause s...
