Re: GEP 2014 - Screening & Selection

But they are going to abolish t-score soon right, most probably another few years just when our Geppers are graduating? So, no CO to DSA, no t-score to get in, then how? Really double whammy!

Re: GEP 2014 - Screening & Selection

For P4, DS1 still has a lot of slack times. There are days when he has a lot of homework, and there are weeks where he doesn't have much. He still enjoys a daily staple of cartoons, playing/fighting wif his bro. Weekends we still go out and 'waste' the day away. Hquek, good to hear esp the part on ...

Sorry, is to stretch 5 subjects. English, MT,Science, Maths and Social Study. Catholic High Chinese Tr teaching Gep pupils said if kid can't cope with HCL, can exit HCL drop back to normal Chinese, at P5 THis is case by case cos when I spoke to the Chinese teacher in ROsyth, she said all have to ta...

Re: GEP 2014 - Screening & Selection

Regarding the DSA, if a performing GEppers, those meeting the baseline of the program, can not even get one CO from any Top school, it would show the failure of the program? So far, i have heard geppers getting more than one CO from Top school. THe baseline question is the one I would like to ask t...

Re: GEP 2014 - Screening & Selection

I'm also so worried abt this too, so I personally prefer a gep sch which had affiliation. However when I talked to the kids and teacher of CHS, apparently they feedback that their geppers prefer to go elsewhere more, RI, HCI. CHS sec became not so popular. I do hv my concern, the P6 gep kids at the...

Re: GEP 2014 - Screening & Selection

What is the focus for PSLE score? Just a score, no meaning. So for good seconary school? So it is back to DSA..... I guess some parents' fear is, if cannot get to good school via DSA, then at least wanna fall back on PSLE. And PSLE of top schools r all 260 plus? So if go GEP, then end up in 2nd tie...

Re: GEP 2014 - Screening & Selection

IMHO, the QnA was rather disappointing. No exciting qns like dsa and psle... Most of the questions asked can actually be addressed better at the booth. And some parents were so vague the panel could not even understand the qn. My thots too. THe only question on DSA, they did not really answered. I ...

Re: GEP 2014 - Screening & Selection

After the "psycho" talk, I am less inclined to enrol my child in the programme than I was yesterday... I thought they were too frank in answering from the 3 points raised in the QnA, if I recall correctly as follow : 1) If you want your kids to do very well in PSLE and A/O levels, do not join the p...
