You don't have the luxury of time. A teacher/tutor who merely sits around and interacts with the kid on a minimal level is clearly doing it only for the paycheck.

Hunt around for someone else instead.

I understand that one of my student's siblings was the only one from SJI international to get into medicine last year; she was previously from the IB program. Medical school in Singapore? Is she that girl featured in the news - the only person from SJII to get 45 points? My apologies-I just realise...

Ultimately within the first few lessons, the child would usually be able to form a rough but reasonably accurate opinion of the tutor's competency. If hes an empty shell it will become pretty obvious in no time. Certificates only tell part of the story concerning one's true teaching ability. H2 Math...
