Re: Secondary School Mathematics

A box contains some white and black mugs. If 3 white mugs are taken out of the box, 2/7 of the remaining mugs in the box are white mugs. If 5 black mugs are removed from the box, 2/3 of the remaining mugs in the box are black mugs. By forming an algebraic equation, find the number of mugs in the box...

Re: Chinese Composition

That is highly subjective, different people will prefer different things. Personally, I prefer doing the picture as I will more or less know what to write and do not have to spend time to think of a story line. Choosing one over another does not guarantee you high marks as a lot depends on you write...

Re: PSLE subjects

The student should spent the most time on the subject(s) that he/she is weak in. The student should start working on the languages early before PSLE if he/she has problems with them as those subjects are not just about memorizing and practicing.

Re: Which brand of pens are the best to be used for psle?

Hello, For my PSLE last year, I used a Sarasa Clip 0.5 blue pen. I feel that most pens are okay and it does not really make a difference on which brand of pen you use. It is best to use the pen he's most comfortable with though. I was a fan of Pilot G2 pens a few years ago, but I found Sarasa pen ve...

Re: Crescent Girls' School

Hello, I would like to share about my experience with wearing the PE shirt underneath my blouse for long hours. On days without PE, I wear 3 layers of clothing to school and that is quite normal. But most of the week, there will be activities that requires you to change into your PE attire. In order...

Re: Crescent Girls' School

Does anyone have any details about when we will be getting the Slate this year? The Sec 2 seniors got theirs in mid/end February last year but my teachers have yet to say anything regarding the payment and arrival of the Slate. Thank you in advance. ^^ EDIT: Some of my friends from other classes say...

Re: 2013 - Sec 1 Discussions

Thank you for all the encouragement. I took HCL in Primary school. I need the subject for deduction points in O levels though, but my teacher said that since our school has too many people taking HMT, they will need to remove the weaker students from HMT. I will work harder and see how I do in the m...

Re: 2013 - Sec 1 Discussions

I sat for my Higher Chinese test today, we were only given 1 hour, time was also cut as we only have 2 periods, it was right after recess as well. After waiting for everyone to come into class ( banded ), teacher to give instructions and give out the paper, we only have less than 45 minutes left. Th...

The Math paper I sat for was challenging albeit manageable. It is hard to score ( easy to make careless mistakes ) under examination stress though, I lost marks for questions that I did numerous times in test papers.
