Re: Kids' ambitions

My girl told me that she wants to be an artist or a fashion designer. I will ask her again when she is 15 years old. If she still wants to be a fashion designer, I will do my best to support her. Who knows she may become the next Vera Wang  Did you know - Vera Wang began life as a figure skat...

Whenever I see people jogging by the road, I shake my head. I strongly strongly strongly feel that all these young chaps and ladies should stop jogging by the roads, and breathing all that odourless carbon monoxide exactly when their lungs are working so hard. I have no scientific proof, but I have ...

Here's my 2 cents from actual experience. :) Since Aug 2007, when I'm at work (ie. 5 days a week), I don't eat lunch. I take a heavy breakfast (the equivalent volume of a lunch). Then I take 4 pieces of fruit between 1-4pm, then I take dinner as usual. Result: 1) In the first 6 months, I lost about ...

Thanks everyone! I don't see it as a sacrifice on my part since I'll probably be worrying about my baby if I send her to infant care or nanny, or worse, hire a maid. I think I'll have a mental breakdown and probably end up being unable to breastfeed so this is the best way. I think it's more a sacr...

In case you're not aware, milk is one of the major aggravators of phlegm. It contains sugars which bacteria thrive on, which will cause the phlegm to continuously develop. I never learned this from any doctor or book - it was a fellow parent who taught me some years ago when I had the same problem w...

Ruth sounds like a fantastic P and also a person of great character and sincerity... from both sashimi and your reviews. She IS great, way beyond what you can probably imagine. Anyway I remain in touch with her - she's now at Little Footprints, somewhere in a Serangoon branch. Parents in Serangoon ...

In my humble opinion...... just have girls lah. :D Just kidding... but in truth, I never wanted sons and I consider myself lucky that I will never have one now. I am a father to 2 girls. It's kind of strange, but I sometimes consider it lucky that the son I will never have was never born. You see, I...

Re: the info world

E.g.,the wikipedia..., it can be edited by anyone so I am not so sure all the info is correct in there. In an era of information overload, official sources are also no longer reliable. People who claim to be official sources or experts in a subject often become a victim of their own certainty, beca...
