Re: Visual and Audio learners- Which is better?

Thanks for the interesting printouts, @zac's mum!

Hmm... I think I'm more visual, but I have bad handwriting leh. I couldn't even write immediately after my stroke and I had to retrain myself writing abc for many months before I can sign my signature, sort of. Thank God I still can type

Re: St Margaret's Primary

Very good chance. Has a low probability of balloting for SC > 2km happening but I think it’s worthwhile to take the risk. Actually it's hard to say. Only 101 places are now available and there were 110 applicants last year and it required balloting. There are already 52 applicants this year. The go...

Re: ME TIME!

Did bungee in my early 20s. Went tandem skydiving on my honeymoon. So I can cross those off my bucket list. Told kiddos if they want to do all these, do it when they are still young but make sure to check out the service provider 1st. Speaking from experience, you lose your stomach for such adrenal...

Re: ME TIME!

I cannot do treadmill. Will not last 10mins cos I have to choice to stop anytime I want. I have to walk outdoors where I have no choice but to complete the walk if I want to get home. Yeah... it's boring. What I have is I put the television in front, and I turn on either Sudoko or Mahjong and it ge...

Re: ME TIME!

Taking care is good, but taking so much care that you rule out anything that could be remotely harmful will probably result in depression! Strike a balance between enjoyment and risk. In a way, the older you are, the more risk you can afford to take as you will have fewer (no) dependents and less r...

Re: All About Taekwondo

My son stopped tkd after getting his first poom in p5. Now at 16yo he regrets stopping as he has lost his ability to do full split. I do think the break is good to explore other stuff which he did for the past 3 yrs n now seems keen to go back to tkd. He intends to take as cca next yr. (he is havin...

At times i ponder why then send to a religious affiliated school and not others? There would be better chances for folks keen in it instead.
Because the school has a good reputation for academic prowess?

Thank you all ! ❤️ Yes jiayou and all the best for 2C !! 🙏🙏🙏 Congratulations! One of my friends was trying for Tao Nan in Phase 2B, but didn't make it. He will be trying again in Phase 2C. I reminded him to register himself as a parent on standby list immediately after the Phase 2C in case he doesn...

Re: ME TIME!

Lol... I've had my share of strange encounters with older folks. In the very early days of the pandemic, I wasn't used to wearing mask when jogging (it wasn't required, anyway). I passed this old gentleman who glared at me and scolded me for not wearing mask while outside. Ok, ok, I notti. So these ...

Re: bicycle repairs at home

Same-same. I'm obsessed with the Health365 program because of the points to NTUC vouchers :rotflmao: For me, the steps did get counted, although I'm not sure how Fitbit calculate it. I'm averaging over 20k (vs 10k) daily if I'm on the bike for the day (~3 to 4 hours). Hmm... that's good! Then I'll ...
