Re: In-law problems?

On the topic of separating clothes during laundry, I did that too. Home wear and 'outside' clothes to wash separately. Light colour dark colour 'outside' clothes wash separately. I also won't mix dh's clothing with mine. Separate load. Only kids' clothings I will mix together. Wash their home wear i...

Re: In-law problems?

Have you all thought what would happen should one of the PIL pass on and would the surviving one be able to continue to stay on his/her own or would you be left with no choice but to take turns to take care and live with him/her (more likely MILs live longer) MIL was taking care of BIL's children e...

Re: Does our kid really need tutor?

Wish i could coach my kids but likely will 帮倒忙。 Haha, I can totally relate to that. I only coach them in studying habits. Long time ago I used to be a diligent student  I can impart soft skills eg they should automatically complete school homework and whatever deliverables, keep track of exam ...

Re: ME TIME!

I can't understand why many parents seem to think that there are just 2 options: stress the kids and have them learn well, or let them play and have them learn nothing. It is possible to have your kids learn what they need to at the appropriate ages while letting them play and not stressing them! I...

Re: Japanese Drama

植物图鉴 2016 romance movie. Nice! dh and I watched this recently. We never read the synopsis beforehand so we had no idea what's its plot. When the lead actress recklessly brought the lead actor home, I thought omg this is 妥妥的案发的前奏吧! Whereas dh speculated the lead actor is a tree who transformed himse...

Re: Retirement Insurance

I actually find working "outside" easier in some ways. As a SAHM, it's 24/7 and no limits! Of course, the transition and balancing can be difficult, and reducing the work involving kids and home takes some adjustment (and lowering expectations all round and delegating). I'm looking forward to my ki...

Re: ME TIME!

I don't really care. But I think kids do somewhat prefer their uniforms being ironed. Ironing schedule is once a week. If missed that ironing schedule or somehow run out of ironed uniforms by mid week then just wear un-ironed ones lor, so long uniforms are clean and fresh. No biggie if not ironed. K...
