Has anyone employed a typesetter before? I'd like to have an idea of what typesetting charges are like. For typesetting a text manuscript into publishable book form? Nothing fancy like graphics or images. Thanks!
You can Google on "typing services" or "transcription services" in Singapore. This is different from typesetting, which is taking a text and laying it out for book publication. You seem to want to do the opposite. Another thing you can consider is OCR (optical character recognition) which scans and outputs in text form. This usually requires additional editing and checking, though.
Do note that copying a whole book is likely to infringe copyright unless you hold the copyright or the book is free of copyright.
